  The 256techTalks were introduced this year as a platform for sharing success experiences that are designed to inevitably have us redefine our original views of Tech.

  The setting is informal, with a short presentation followed by Q&A, group discussions and participation from everyone present.

  They are scheduled for every other Thursday of the month.

  We have had various facilitators; Ivan Lumala (Microsoft), Michael Wilkerson (Tugende Project), coming up next are Mark Ndahagire (Lawyer with Court of Appeal) & Ernst Suur (War Child Uganda).

Tax Education – What Startups Should Consider?

  Its not uncommon that we have seen startup companies get indebted or fail to scale up because of fear of the waiting long hand of the taxman. Taxes are always an unwelcome issue when it comes to business management. However, most of the resentment is caused by lack of enough or unclear information for these startups. At Hive Colab, we understand that tax obedience and discipline are very healthy for a business on its way up the ladder thus we facilitate the availability of this information.

  This Thursday, we are hosting Mr Simon Nsubuga and Kyampaire Dora from URA who enlighten us about different taxation disciplines especially those in realm with startups. The session will involve a Q&A setting, we encourage you to come with your burning questions.
